Closing event of the EU project ”Support for the quality infrastructure framework in a DCFTA context in the Republic of Moldova”

Happening now - 06.10.2020 - the closing event of the EU funded project ”Support for the quality infrastructure framework in a DCFTA context in the Republic of Moldova”.

During the lifetime of the project, INM, together with the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, as well as some other institutions subordinated to the Ministry, benefited from technical assistance and quality expertise.

The main objective of INM as a beneficiary of this project was to achieve and maintain EURAMET full membership (Regional Metrology Organization of Europe). INM became an associate member of this organization in 2017, and in 2019, with the support of the project, it became full member.

There were 3 criteria to be fulfilled for this purpose: traceability routes to the SI identified and in operation for the last three years; participation in international comparisons; participation in EURAMET projects.

An important aspect of fulfilling these criteria was the competence of the staff of INM and the project had an important impact by organizing and coordinating the trainings conducted by international experts, as well as the participation in EURAMET Technical Committees meetings, which were also supported by the project.

Simultaneously, in order to enhance the visibility of INM at national and international level, the project contributed to the modernization of INM website and to the development of visibility materials used within the Technical Committees meetings hosted by INM.
