The Quality Management System is a management system through which an organization is oriented and controled with refernce to quality. 

The Quality Management System of the National Institute of Metrology tends to be "recognized capable" to ensure the continuous correct realization of the activities of research and maintenance of the National Measurement Standards Base, as well as of undertaking, preserving and disseminating the measurement units. 

The development of the Quality Management System ensures:

  • the correct and in time realization of calibrations;
  • the application of validated procedures;
  • avoiding errors during calibration processes;
  • the efficient use of material resources;
  • the development of a corporate culture based on a motivational working environment, oriented towards results and mutual respect.
