The type approval of measuring instruments used in areas of public interest is one of the ways of conducting legal metrology control, with the purpose of legalizing the measuring instruments and ensuring the accuracy and uniformity of measurements performed on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, when placing them on the market and when using those measuring instruments, and is given as a result of successful metrological testing with the purpose of type approval.
