Assurance of validity and quality of measurements conducted with spectrophotometers

The National Institute of Metrology organized an online training course on ”Assurance of validity and quality of measurements conducted with spectrophotometers”, during 03-05 November 2020.

The course was conducted by Anatolii Bescupschi, Head of Physical-Chemical Measurements Laboratory within INM. Mr. Bescupschi shared his knowledge on subjects like:

  • The concept of calibration and its necessity
  • The stability of spectrophotometers and setting their recalibration intervals
  • Using the data from the calibration certificates with the testing/analysis metthods
  • The need of neutral/spectral filters and their use
  • Intermediary verification procedure (establishing the validity of results)
  • Control graphics
