EURAMET Peer Review of the INM Electromagnetic, Frequency and Time Measurements Laboratory

As a full member of EURAMET, INM is periodically passing the peer review procedure, conducted by experts from other EURAMET member states, in order to demonstrate the calibration and measurement capabilities, as well as the efficiency of the Quality Management System implemented.

Thus, during 16-17 March 2021, this procedure is being conducted in the Electromagnetic, Frequency and Time Measurements Laboratory. The experts are from the Metrology Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina – IMBIH.

According to EURAMET rules, during a peer review, the following aspects are assessed:

  • Qualifications and technical capabilities of staff;
  • Control and monitoring of environmental conditions;
  • Calibration and measurement methods, uncertainty estimations and method validation;
  • Equipment and equipment maintenance programs;
  • Measurement traceability;
  • Methods used for assuring the quality of measurements and calibrations;
  • Content and format of calibration / measurement reports; etc.

Taking into account the pandemic situation in the world, this time the peer review procedure is being conducted online.
